India Plane Crash | Last Words of the Pilot Revealed
Details have emerged about the final words spoken by the pilot before an Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The crash involved a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft operated by Air India. Out of the 242 people onboard, 241 lost their lives due to severe burns. This tragic incident has shocked the entire nation.
Officials have now confirmed the pilot’s final communication with the air traffic control just before the crash. The pilot reportedly said:
“Mayday.. Mayday.. Mayday.. No power.. No thrust.. Going down.”
It was already known that the pilot had sent a "Mayday" distress call before the crash. The word "Mayday" is considered very serious in aviation — it is an emergency signal used only in life-threatening situations. The term comes from the French word "m’aidez", meaning "help me".
Pilots are trained to say "Mayday" three times during a severe emergency, such as engine failure or when the aircraft becomes uncontrollable. This is why hearing "Mayday" during a flight is so alarming.
In this case, the pilot also mentioned "No power" (indicating a complete electrical failure) and "No thrust" (meaning the engines were not producing the necessary force for the plane to stay in the air or climb). These are critical failures, especially during takeoff or landing.
In the final moments, the pilot also said "Going down", showing they knew the plane was about to crash. According to officials, these words were spoken in the last 5 seconds before the accident.
Investigations are now underway to determine the cause of the power and engine failure.
